“Diana Castle offers a rare opportunity for any artist – a clear pathway to the soul and a meaningful practice around tapping it and expressing it authentically. Working with her has transformed my life and continues to do so on a regular basis. If you’re looking for an unlimited sense of possibility creatively and professionally, Diana is the answer to your prayers.“
– Max Carver
Max is no stranger to the world of superheroes, sci-fi and mythical creatures. His career is an outstanding example of his expansive imagination. He was Aiden in MTV’s Teen Wolf and Cadmon Lasky in Halo 4 : Forward Into Dawn. But most recently, and perhaps most notably, he was one of the Twins (alongside his real life twin brother) in DC’s The Batman.
Aside from these incredible roles, Max has also been in HBO’s The Leftovers as Adam Frost, and was Preston Scavo in ABC’s hit show, Desperate Housewives.
Now we congratulate him as he prepares for his latest project – a lead role in Andrew Sandler’s thriller Fade to Black – acting opposite Karan Soni. He begins filming this fall of 2024. Max has movie star charisma and a ferocious talent. We are all so proud of all of his accomplishments!
Empathy is essential when it comes to acting. Yet not all acting classes are built the same. The care that Diana and her staff puts into every one of the students is transformative. When beginning his journey at The Imagined Life, Max felt “closed up”- unable to access his formidable empathic gifts. With Diana’s attentive coaching, Max began a profound journey into his authentic self. At The Imagined Life studio, Max felt truly seen for the first time.
This type of heart to heart, life to life care is unusual. A true caring mentor can excavate a world of potential in an artist. A world of places within that are unexplored, untapped and unknown. At The Imagined Life, Max was guided back to a childlike self that openly accepts all the possibilities gifted through storytelling. That journey is a thrilling, unique and individual one- and it’s a journey that requires teachers who care deeply for their students. Max’s acting career reflects back what is possible when you have a caring mentor and you connect back to your childlike imagination and play spirit.
Now Max is experiencing the life of being a professional actor – and playing pretend has never been more fun. He’s always prepared. As he notes, “anytime you get a new gig and are tasked with this new role – it’s (about) getting ready to show up as a pro.”
As Diana encourages all Imagined lifers, “Don’t look for a method- look for a mission.”
Beyond all the wonderful worlds Max has visited within his imagination – he has also had the opportunity to widen his empathetic embrace, earthside. Max’s broad humanity has touched the lives of many people. He has participated in charity events that have helped The Global Down Syndrome Foundation, as well as the Education For Banjara Youth In India.
