“Diana is an empathetic, profound, laser focused, incredibly poetic teacher. She’s a woman of magical, mystical workings.”
– Jayson Blair @jaysonblair
Jasyon Blair has been lighting up the screen for quite some time. He has recurred in some of Tell-A-Vision’s most buzzworthy shows. Hailing from Detroit Michigan, he has been working nonstop since his screen debut in 2006 with an episode of CBS’s CSI: NY.
From then on, you have seen him as Liam in Hulu’s Dollface, Tony Britton in Freeform’s Good Trouble, Jake in Freeform’s Young & Hungry, Max Owens in MTV’s The Hard Times of RJ Berger, and Clay Clemmons in NBC’s The New Normal.
You have also seen Jayson on the big screen in many projects. One of which is the very buzzworthy, Academy award-winning, Damien Chazelle directed film, Whiplash. He played Travis, also starring Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons.
We congratulate this hard-working Imagined Lifer on his guest star, in the much anticipated award winning second season of the Netflix show, Beef. You’ll catch him there as Brandon!
Jayson delivers compelling and interesting performances every single time, because he does away with actor concerns, and instead lends his empathetic imagination over to story concerns.
His acting coach, Diana Castle, has worked with him for over a decade, and in that time he has taken to heart her numerous heart lessons.
She imparts to Jayson and fellow Imagined Lifers the following – “It’s time to stop wasting your time figuring out what others want to see. Instead, invest your time in what you need to say.”
A lesson that has given Jayson longevity in this industry. As such, it earned Jayson a role on NBC’s The New Normal.
He recalls – “On this show, when I auditioned, it was only…a page of dialogue in the pilot. Based on the audition, Ally, the co-creator with Ryan (Murphy), she rewrote my material based on how I auditioned it. That’s how they kinda created my character.”
When you invest your human heart to the universal, human truths of your story, you allow everyone in the room to go to the movies. Your transformation gives your audience liberation.
1Jayson is a bright example that when you’re deeply in love with acting, you set yourself up for a long and fruitful career.

Jayson’s love for the human condition is palpable in everything he does. When he’s not on set, Jayson travels the world. Thanks to Memberful, Jayson is always within reach of Diana’s profound lessons.
